C'mon now...
THIS right here is the classic example of Blacks being SO "IN TO" ourselves that the mere mention of race/color is apropos in a public forum.
In this recording, Don Imus talks about NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones. While the other radio personality and sports announcer, Warner Wolf, is giving the run down of legal issues Jones has been involved in, Imus asks what race is he? Wolf says, "African American" and Imus replies, "There you go. Now we know.".
Imus has defended himself in saying, "I meant that he was being picked on because he's black." (By the authorities.
I sincerely hope that black folks will not go hysterical over this because WE ALL KNOW that when we hear about certain crimes we automatically attach a race to the offender without being given any further information. AND we often ask the questions, "Was he/she black?" Or "Was he/she white?" knowing good and well we already have a pre-conceived notion on the race of the perpetrator.
So is Don Imus wrong??
Shout out to Mr. Garland.

LMAO....I DO IT EVERYTIME I HEAR SOME CRAZY ISH ON THE NEWS!!!
I don't really think he said anything wrong. I myself have a habit of determing the race of an offender, just by the type of crime committed. Because in all honesty...some races can think of some ish that is sooooo crazy it can only be them. None of "US" want to stalk, dismember and grill a person and have them for dinner; and none of "them" will rob a bank and give the teller their real ID with the robbery note and wear a shirt that says "God Loves You". LOL
The man is being himself and I can only respect him for letting his real feelings show instead of pretending in public like most folks do.
Yeah...it's kind of subconscious that we ask those questions or make assumptions, but usually, those assumptions are RIGHT.
I don't see the big deal with what dude said. I'm not a fan of Imus so it's like, "who the hell cares?" He said some shit that black folks BEEN saying. Plus, he really didn't say shit.
